Estimator – Build – Small works up to £1m. Solihull
Our client is a highly respected building services contractor. Due to ongoing success they require the services of a Build Estimator who will work within an existing team on a mixture of long term open book partnership contracts as well as traditional opportunities.
You will undertake tenders up to £1m predominately in the midlands area and also nationally consisting of public building refurbishments, refits or upgrades including schools, libraries, council buildings, leisure centres.
You will prepare build estimates for time, cost, materials, schedule of rates and labour. Knowledge of NSR and NHF Schedule of Rates is really useful.
Liaise with clients, consultants and other personnel and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors, analyse and interrogate subcontractors quotes for works and prepare build estimates.
Experience in reading and understanding tender drawings and bills of quantities.
Experience working with and developing schedule of rates
Strong PC skills in particularly MS Excel, Word, Power-Point.
Experience in ‘Estimation’ software or other similar estimation programme
