Highways Engineer

A Highways Engineer is required to join an Engineering firm on a 6-month+ contract in Hertford. You will be responsible for designing and delivering Local Authority highway improvement schemes, including cycling, bus priority, pedestrian, and safety schemes, assisting Senior Engineers to manage projects and programmes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to the right quality and within budget, as well as developing junior colleagues, delegating tasks and managing their workload.
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree level or have a HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline, have experience in highway engineering, be self-starting, practical and organized. You must also be computer literate; proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, have good analytical skills, attention to detail, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
