An exciting opportunity has arisen for an General Manager / Divisional Lead to be based at their Oxford Office.
This is an experienced Senior Leader level role ideally with a background in Pipe Lining and Renovation (but not essential), Contracting and contract management, with a general civil engineering background.

This could include travel throughout the UK and the role will ultimately involve overall leadership for the Drainage Structural Repair division including line management of a specialist delivery team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or a developing leader to shadow the current manager, learn the ropes and take P&L and commercial responsibility to develop and gross this business.

The Role:
General Manager / Divisional Lead:
The General Manager will develop and learn in order to assume overall responsibility for the delivery, project commercial, P&L, business development and safety of the division.
Managing a dedicated and skilled team to deliver structural pipe refurbishment and renovation projects across a range of sectors.
The role reports to the current Division Manager and forms part of the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility and accountability for the successful and safe delivery of projects across the UK.
Supporting teams with commercial, technical and project related concerns or issues.
Leading and growing the team, provide mentorship of existing staff.
Overall H&S responsibility, working closely with QSE Manager to develop H&S strategy bespoke to the business segment.
Provide H&S Leadership, carrying out audits and giving feedback as well as empowering teams to do the right things.
Representing the division at monthly commercial meetings.
Finalising month end process, good understanding of commercial reporting, and business management.
Leading on Framework and tender bids both commercially and technically.
Attending senior client and internal meetings.
Chairing monthly / weekly divisional meetings.
Assisting with allocation of resource on a weekly/monthly basis.

A long established civil engineering company and respected throughout the water and waste water industries, with vast experience in surveying, managing and maintaining the industry’s assets.
Through a single point of contact, they can provide engineering-based services dealing with all aspects of the waste water cycle and clean water underground pipeline services.

The Person:
Civil Engineer with contracting and commercial experience that can be further developed.
Ability to lead and manage people.
Ability to communicate with site teams, senior internal contacts and clients
Business development / tender / estimating experience – able to review and understand bottom-up pricing process.
Key decision maker, ability to think clearly under pressure and provide solutions / suggestions for the team.
UK Wide role, travel required.
